Toyota Prius C: Hipper, Younger

The Toyota Prius has been dominating the eco-friendly vehicle industry for the last 15 years. The Prius family also offers fuel economy and a more compact ride. The latest baby, Toyota Prius C, only weighs 67 pounds and has a battery pack that is 24 times lighter than the original Toyota Prius.

The “C” stands for ‘city’ that is why; it is more perfect for city-driving and is being marketed to younger, hipper audience. It is more compact with 0.9 killowatt-hour capacity, but its powertrain is constructed the same way as Prius, which has an electric motor integrated into the CVT. Since it is for city-driving, it has an electronic dashboard that keeps track on how economically you drive. Turn up the accelerator and you will get an EXCESSIVE SPEED warning.

When it comes to price, the 19 grand you will be paying for will definitely worth it even without considering the hybrid widgets because of the decent amount of equipment that range from Bluetooth, USB and other audio inputs, 9 airbags, and tilting and telescoping steering wheel, and automatic climate control. The Toyota Prius C also comes with power door locks and windows, a 3.5-inch in-dash info display, navigation, and an Entune infotainment system, keyless starting, and has comfortable seating.
