We at Energywyze had a meeting with a client who runs a condominium with over 20+ floors. Their electrical bill stated $1.2 million a year in Electrical expenditures. Their Pf read close to Unity at 98%, which means the were running as efficient at the Utility meter and bill. To our surprise, stated by the Director of Facilities for the condominium, said they changed their Air Chillers and handlers to a more efficient system. To our amazement their electric bill had a dramatic drop in their Electric bill down to $635,000 for the annual expenditure. The Pf was still reading the same at 98%. So yes, changing and old clunker A/C to a more efficient system in large industries may pay off. But we also have to realize costs of these new Chillers. Some ranging over a million per unit.
